Bicycles are an incredibly simple and efficient mode of transportation, but contain a few complex components that make it work. Even more complex wheel structures are being developed, which make use of spokes-on-spokes assemblies, helping to further reduce the load on the wheel without sacrificing rigidity.

The combination of a more classic approach and modern materials allows for tuneable performance, making each wheel unique to its respective ride. With the right balance of strength and stiffness, these components of a bicycle are truly one of the most integral in understanding the complexity of this amazing machine.
